Do you allow outside vendors?
While we prefer using vendors whom we know and can vouch for, if there is a vendor that is important to you, we can make additional arrangements. Any outside vendor must be pre-approved by The Darling Hotel event staff, insured, and agree to The Darling Hotel’s quality standards.
What do you require to secure my date? When are payments due?
For Weddings and Events at The Darling Hotel, a 25% nonrefundable deposit is required to secure and confirm your date. We will set up a progress payment plan based on your event date. Final guest count and payment is due 14 days prior to your event date.
Do you offer payment plans for weddings?
We are more than happy to arrange a personalized payment plan.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests for a wedding?
Depending on the event space you choose, there is a maximum number of guests. Please refer to our Wedding Brochure for more information about our spaces.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
All bar services must be provided by our restaurant, Elderwood. Please see our Bar Packages Brochure for more information on those options.
Is there a noise ordinance?
Yes, all outdoor events must end by 10:00pm.
Do you offer a shuttle service?
We do not, but we’d be more than happy to offer a few local service options.

What accommodations are available on-site for guests?
The Darling Hotel has 32 rooms + suites for guests to book. You may also inquire with our sales team about setting up a room block.

What time is check-in and check-out for our wedding?
Check-in is 3:00pm, and check-out is 11:00am. Parties arriving on the day of their wedding may arrive as early as 9:00am for event set-up, although accommodations will not be ready until 3:00pm, unless early check-in has been added onto reservations (additional fees apply).

Where are you located?
The Darling Hotel is located in downtown Visalia, California. About 48 miles south of Fresno, California and about 35 miles west from Sequoia National Park.

Where is the nearest airport?
The Fresno Yosemite International Airport is about 50 minutes (48 miles) from The Darling Hotel. Flights arrive from all over the country every day and there are several car rental options.
