come for the trees, stay for the experience

Gateway to the Sequoias

The Darling Hotel is more than just a restored courthouse annex; it is your new home for your Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park adventure! Spend the day hiking in two of our nation’s premier parks and unwind in one of our cozy art deco guest rooms.

Visiting new national parks is incredibly exciting! They can also, however, be unfamiliar and somewhat daunting. We at The Darling Hotel understand this and want to help make your trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon as seamless as possible.

While checking in at The Darling, ask your Guest Service Agent for our Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park Tips and Tricks Guide. Here, we have laid out some great sights for you to check out while in the parks. Sights range from the iconic tourist attractions such as Moro Rock, General Sherman Tree, and General Grant Tree. If you are looking for the trail less traveled, we have less touristy sights for you to venture to including Muir Grove, The Lakes Trail, and Tokopah Falls.

Sierra Nevada Mountain Range

And no, it is not haunted, there are not ghosts, and there is no secret tunnel to opium dens….. or is there?
